Hong Kong to ban duty free tobacco imports

It is reported that the Hong Kong Government will ban the import or purchase on arrival of duty-free cigarettes, mimicking the policy in Singapore. This change will affect the duty free on arrival shops (boutique hors taxes à l'arrivée) at the airport, as well as tax free travellers arriving with tobaccos purchased elsewhere. The change is expected to take effect later this year.
